Project Purpose

One of the most commonly ignored audiences in the tech literature world is the biggest audience, the basic user. Normally, you will find books that address the bare minimum of operational functions for a computer and the internet. Others only cover the most advanced topics with a wash of technical terms.

This book has been written to bridge that gap, addressing not only the basics in a friendly, novice manner, but also cover the most common threats and practices an average everyday user should know!

While rooted in network security and ethical hacking knowledge, the true success of this artifact lies in the demonstration of professional communication. I had to research and then synthesize highly technical data into a practical guide for non-technical small business owners. This challenged my ability to explain concepts clearly, a skill that is paramount for an IT Technician who must communicate effectively with customers.

Overall, the general employability aspect of this particular project comes in the form of how much information I am dumping into this book, and, more importantly, how I can break it down into specific points for non-technical readers to understand.
