Build-a-nation
Project Purpose
Build-a-Nation is a simple, educational game aimed at teaching students about the Bill of Rights via the implementation of various game mechanics. Players will be able to answer questions, buy upgrades, and watch their nation change!

Throughout the game, players will need to strategize, choosing which upgrades to purchase in order to achieve the highest score possible. This game is primarily designed for a "classroom competition" scenario, like Kahoot or something similar.

This project is a clear demonstration of my abilities to not only construct workflow but also adapt to situations that come up during the development of a program, seeing as I needed to completely rework the program to utilize a custom UI system supposed to the built in UI system that did not work with browser runtimes.

This project proved to be a valuable exercise in UI/UX design and program flow as well, the primary challenge being making the informational content both engaging and accurate. This means that clean data structure and intuitive game state logic are a crucial point, as the game needs to run on data (this also makes it easier to change the data later on).
This experience has significantly strengthened my ability to plan, debug, and deliver a complex interactive product, while salaciously sharpening the skills that are directly transferable to my commercial work.
